Terms of Service
Lock and Lay ("the game") is a hobby ball python breeding simulation run by an individual operator ("we", "us"). By creating an account or signing in, you agree to these terms.
1. The game is a game
Everything in Lock and Lay is fictional: the animals, the money, the racks, the market, the other breeders' rooms. Nothing you buy, sell, breed or borrow in the game has real-world value, and no real animals or real money are involved. Brand names in the shop are stand-ins and are not affiliated with any real company.
2. Accounts
- You can sign up with a breeder name and password, or through Google or Discord. You are responsible for keeping your login to yourself.
- One person, one account is the spirit of the shared market and leaderboard. Multiple accounts used to trade with yourself may be removed.
- Pick a breeder name that isn't offensive or impersonating someone else. We may rename or remove accounts that break this.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the game.
3. Your content
Posts, captions, comments, chat messages and bios are yours. By posting them you let us show them to other players inside the game. Don't post anything illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that shares someone's private information. We can remove content and suspend accounts that cross that line, at our discretion.
4. Fair play
Don't try to break the server, exploit bugs for advantage, automate play, or interfere with other players' rooms and accounts. Report bugs instead; we'd rather fix them.
5. Availability and data
This is a small, independently hosted project. It may go offline, be reset, or change at any time, and saved worlds can be lost. We do our best to keep progress, but we make no promise that any account, animal or balance will persist.
6. No warranty, limited liability
The game is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the game, including lost game progress.
7. Ending an account
You can stop playing at any time and ask us to delete your account and data (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change when we do, and continuing to play after that means you accept the new version.
